Seminar between EVN and PLN experts on renewable energy development policies
On August 14, in Hanoi, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) held a seminar with the delegation of Power Corporation PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara – Indonesia (PLN) on renewable energy policies. EVN Deputy General Director Vo Quang Lam chaired the seminar.
This seminar is within the framework of the expert exchange program initiated by EVN during the 2022 HAPUA Working Group 5 annual meeting with the Electricity of ASEAN countries.
The program aims to create conditions for experts in Electricity of ASEAN to discuss topics of mutual interest.
EVN Deputy General Director Vo Quang Lam said that at present, renewable energy is the concern of most countries in the world, especially in the context that energy transition is an inevitable trend. Mr. Vo Quang Lam expected that, through this program, EVN and PLN will have the opportunity to discuss many other areas of mutual interest such as risk management, internal audit, corporate governance, renewable energy development policies etc.
Ms. Putu Purwaningsih – PLN’s legal expert on energy transition, head of the delegation, thanked EVN for creating favorable conditions for Indonesian experts to have the opportunity to exchange and learn from EVN’s experiences in renewable energy policies. The Indonesian government has set a target of reaching carbon neutral by 2060. Currently, Indonesia has focused on renewable energy development.
Ms. Putu Purwaningsih hoped that the exchange program with representatives of EVN would help PLN gain valuable experience, so that PLN could be well-prepared for the development of renewable energy in the coming time.
Many practical questions were raised and discussed in detail by experts in the seminar.
The exchange program between EVN and PLN took place from 14th-25th August at the headquarter of EVN and other relevant units.
