By the end of September, Tay Ninh had 8 investors implementing 10 solar power projects in 4 districts: Trang Bang, Ben Cau, Tan Chau and Duong Minh Chau with the total generating capacity of 808 MW, the total investment fund of VND 19,646.4 billion and the total land area used for the projects of 1,083 hectares, of which nearly 900 hectares is used for semi-submerged land in the bed of Dau Tieng reservoir.
Up to now, Tay Ninh has had 9/10 projects under construction, striving to complete and put into power generation before June 2019. In detail, TTC No. 1 and TTC No. 2 solar power plants (belonging to TTC Green Energy Investment Joint Stock Company) have a total designed capacity of 98 MW with an investment capital of more than VND 2,675 billion and 128 45 hectares of land at Thanh Thanh Cong port warehouse in An Hoa commune, Trang Bang district. These projects were initiated in May and July 2018. TTC Solar Power Plant No. 1 has completed about 45% of the construction volume. Both projects are expected to be put into operation in May 2019. Dau Tieng 1, Dau Tieng 2 and Dau Tieng 3 solar energy projects (belonging to Dau Tieng Tay Ninh Energy Joint Stock Company) have a total designed capacity of 500 MW, total investment capital of nearly VND 12,760 billion with 720 ha of semi-submerged land in Dau Tieng lake in Tan Hung and Tan Phu communes (Tan Chau district) and Suoi Da commune (Duong Minh Chau district). The above projects started in early September and are expected to be completed in June 2019. HCG Tay Ninh solar power plant and Hoang Thai Gia Trade, Industry and Energy project have a total capacity of 100 MW, investment capital of VND 2,406 billion with 116.3 hectares of land in the border Moc Bai economic zone, belonging to Tien Thuan and Loi Thuan communes, Ben Cau district. The project started in September 2018 and is expected to be completed in June 2019.
Currently, Hoa Binh – PEC is consulting energizing and COD for Dau Tieng 1,2,3 and HCG, HTG solar power plants. In addition, PEC’s team are experts who have many experiences in energizing the first solar power projects in Vietnam such as TTC1, TTC2, etc.
In order for solar energy projects to soon generate electricity and integrate into the national electricity grid effectively, at the 34th Conference of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Tran Luu Quang asked the Party officials of the Provincial People’s Committee to direct relevant localities, departments and and investors to urgently coordinate to remove difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the compensation and site clearance to accelerate construction activities while strengthening inspection and guide foreign investors and contractors who are carrying out projects in the semi-submerged land area of Dau Tieng lake, strictly comply with regulations of the law on using foreign workers.
